Dr. Zumsteg interests include acquired brain injury and neurorehabilitation care across the care continuum, acute care consultation, effective transitions of care, and leadership development in PM&R. She strives to improve community health and well-being through treatments that optimize function to meet individualized patient goals, providing evidence-based physical medicine and rehab (PM&R) medical consultation, and contributing to safe care and innovation in high-functioning health care teams.

Dr. Zumsteg received her medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine and completed PM&R residency at University of Washington. She is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and brain injury medicine. She has experience as a PM&R residency and fellowship program director, investigator, and clinical work in both small and large PM&R practice groups. She is committed to professional service and advocacy, including staying active as a volunteer with organizations including the American Board of PM&R and the American Academy of PM&R.

Dr. Zumsteg grew up in Lake Tahoe and continues to apply in her patient care the values she saw growing up in the mountains including the benefits of a connected community, valuing diverse perspectives, and creative problem solving. Outside of work Dr. Zumsteg enjoys art and music, cooking, reading, and spending time in the great outdoors with friends and family.
