Vitaliy Belyshev was born in the former Soviet Union and emigrated to the United States when he was very young. He was raised in Western Massachusetts attending UMASS for both undergraduate and medical school. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Christiana Care in Newark, DE. He pursued further training by completing an ultrasound fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center (now Atrium Health). He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine -Atrium. He lives in Charlotte with his wife and children. Both he and his wife are of Russian and Ukrainian descent, the war in Ukraine has touched their lives personally. At the outbreak of war Dr. Belyshev was able to serve the refugees at the Hungarian/Ukraine border.
