Sandeep Pagali, MD, MPH, is a geriatric hospitalist, an Assistant Professor of Medicine, who focuses all his clinical practice and time on the acute care of older adults. He has been in clinical practice following his geriatric fellowship for 8 years. He is the medical director of the inpatient geriatric medical unit at Mayo Clinic hospitals, Rochester, and leads the inpatient geriatric consult practice. He is actively involved in inpatient geriatric education of medical residents, geriatric fellows, and hospitalist fellows. His research interests are focused on delirium, care transitions, and deprescribing. He is passionate about testing new clinical practice models to further enhance care delivery for older adults. He participates as a speaker in different CME courses where he speaks on different geriatric topics. He serves on the AGS Clinical Practice and Models of Care committee, AMDA Education committee, AMDA Transitions of Care sub-committee, SHM Executive leader QI SIG, and American Delirium Society.
