Andrea M. Dayotas, MA, CAGS, LMHC has been building her career in the behavioral health field for over 15 years. Andrea's professional practice started in 2014 when she became a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Rhode Island. Later, attaining licensure within the state of Massachusetts, where she has been appointed Treatment Director of Clinical Services for AdCare Hospital. She is a subject matter expert of crisis intervention, de-escalation, trauma informed care, and understanding the effects of vicarious trauma. These skills have been gained though experience working in multiple emergency and acute care hospital settings of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Andrea's practical experiences complement the educational foundation of which she has been trained and thereafter accelerated to trainer, in crisis interventions. Qualifications as a subject matter expert include; aiding in the development of De-Escalation Emergency Assist Team at a local private psychiatric hospital, certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional in Rhode Island, specialty response training for behavioral disasters in Rhode Island, and Associate Instructor for the Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Institute.
