275 - Run Towards the Noise: Acute Care Professional's Response to Crisis Interventions: Overexposure to Traumatic Events and Implications of Vicarious Trauma

Session Description: This 90 minute presentation will introduce a mix of evidence-based and emerging best practices for strategies to improve clinicians self-care in response to overexposure of acute-care crisis interventions, traumatic experiences, and vicarious trauma.
Through a combination of didactic presentation and clinical testimonials participants will develop improved awareness of the clinical implications of fight, flight, or freeze response, while on the job and when not.
In addition participants will be apprised of how the complexities of COVID-19 has impacted healthcare, compounding traumatic exposures for clinicians in the field.
