The annual conference will take place at the
Huntington Place in downtown Detroit. For events that are at offsite venues (field sessions, workshops, symposium, and the welcome party), transportation is included with the registration fee.
Due to the ongoing COVID situation, APT has adopted a
Communicable Disease Policy. You will be required to read and acknowledge this policy before completing your registration.

Refund Policy
Registration for the APT Detroit 2022 Conference is open and the early bird rate is in effect until August 10, 2022. In an effort to ease concerns, APT has updated its Conference Registration Refund Policy to include the following clause:
APT will issue a full refund of conference registration fees (less $25 administrative fee) to conference attendees who test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of the start of the conference (or who have continued illness if tested prior to 10 days before). Proof of positive test result (or physician confirmation of illness) is required and should be sent to APT via email at registrar@apti.org.This registration policy has been made to encourage you to take advantage of the early bird rate. Should your plans to attend the conference change for reasons other than testing positive to COVID, please refer to the APT Conference Registration Refund Policy.
What if I have to cancel my registration?
- Cancellations must be made in writing via email to registrar@apti.org or via fax to 217-529-7178.
- If you cancel before midnight, October 1, 2022, APT will refund all but $25 of your registration fee.
- If you cancel between October 1-20, 2022, APT will refund all but $100 of your registration fee.
- If you cancel after October 20, 2022, APT will refund only up to $100.
- No shows will not be refunded.

Any regular registrant who gets an Emerging Professional* to register for the conference will receive one complimentary ticket to the Awards Banquet ($100 value).
How it works:
- Invite an Emerging Professional to register to attend the conference.
- During the registration process, the Emerging Professional will be asked to provide your name and email as the person who invited them to the conference.
Once the Emerging Professional completes their registration, a discount code for a complimentary banquet ticket will be sent to you from the Registrar. (If you register before the Emerging Professional, please contact Tamiko Kinkade, APT Registrar at registrar@apti.org, to receive the complementary Awards Banquet ticket.)
*Emerging Professional: persons within four years of entering the preservation field from a college, university, or trade apprenticeship program.
