Dr. Lauren Shapiro is an Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she also serves as Vice Chair of Quality, Safety, and Compliance. After earning her medical degree from SUNY- Stony Brook, she completed her PM&R residency at the Northwestern University program at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, where she served as Chief Resident. She subsequently earned a Masters in Public Health degree from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. She is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Medicine, and currently provides inpatient rehabilitation care at Jackson Memorial Hospital and outpatient care at UHealth. She also serves as an advisor in the MD/MPH program.
