Dr. Michael Green is currently an Associate professor (Clinical) of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Dept of PMR with adjunct in Dept of Peds), School of Medicine, University of Utah. At the University of Utah adult PMR clinic he manages the rehabilitation needs of adults with childhood onset disabilities. This clinic specializes in the transition care of pediatric to adult rehabilitation systems. Dr. Green is also currently an attending physician at Primary Children’s Hospital where he manages an inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation service. He cares for children with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injuries, neuromuscular disorders, spinal cord injuries, peripheral nerve injuries and torticollis. Dr. Green performs electrophysiology for selective dorsal rhizotomy including spasticity management and offering treatment with oral medications, intramuscular injections of Botulinum toxin injections and phenol, as well as intrathecal baclofen pump management. Dr. Green’s primary goal is to promote the best outcome and best situation for each patient, and be supportive of their needs and situation. He is an advocate for patients and their families, as well as strives to optimize patient care. Dr. Green is continuously working toward improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities.
Dr. Green is Board Certified in the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation; Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Subspecialty Boarding; and Brain Injury Medicine Subspecialty Boarding. He is also a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Pediatric/Developmental Community Leadership and BOLD Committee.
