Dental Caries continues to be a major oral health crisis across the world today. Studies continue to support conservative techniques as an appropriate treatment option as opposed to traditional invasive operative approaches. The Hall crown technique is a method of treating multi-surface carious lesions, avoiding invasive procedures and potentially limiting the need for comprehensive treatment under general anesthesia. This case report features the treatment of a child with special health care needs following an emergent pulpotomy procedure with the Hall technique by using proper case selection and a modified approach to achieve a favorable outcome. By incorporating this technique into the hospital setting, the child is able to stay pain free, maintain arch length, and receive treatment according to the standard of care. This treatment option demonstrates how evidence-based principles facilitate care and maximize opportunities for increased access to care for the pediatric dental population with special health care needs. The Hall technique is an especially valuable option in light of today’s events, where access to operating rooms is limited and a global pandemic continues to rage on.
