Dr. Egan grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a suburb outside of Atlanta, and grew up running and swimming. She went on to run cross country and track and field at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and then attended dental school at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. Within her first few months of residency, Dr. Egan became interested in patient follow-up, especially those that underwent comprehensive oral care in the operating room. Through many hours of chart review, Dr. Egan hopes her research helps understand how follow-up care can be improved.
