Dr. Jessica De Bord, D.D.S., M.S.D., M.A., is a board-certified pediatric dentist practicing at Children’s Village, an interdisciplinary clinic for children with special needs in Yakima, Wash., and is full-time faculty in the pediatric dental residency program located in Yakima. She is a clinical director for Special Olympics Special Smiles, is an affiliate assistant professor at the University of Washington, and serves on the AAPD Committee on Special Needs. De Bord was born and raised in Los Angeles, Calif., she earned her B.A. from San Diego State University, and her D.D.S. from UCLA. De Bord completed her residency at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital where she also earned an M.S. in Dentistry and an M.A. in Bioethics and Humanities. Her interests include oral health for children with intellectual disabilities, non-pharmacological behavior guidance, disability ethics, and advocacy.
