My name is Melissa Mondesir, DMD and I am currently a PGY-2 Pediatric Dental Resident at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
I am a first generation Haitian American and a New York Native. I attended Saint John's University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint John's University in 2011, where I , majored in Chemistry. I graduated from The University of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine in 2016. I went on to complete a one yr GPR at New york medical college/Phelps memorial hospital in Westchester, NY. After completing my residency I started working in a Pediatric dental office in the Bronx, NY, where I worked for 2.5 years until I started my residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am currently completing Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities fellowship/traineeship has been one of the biggest highlights of my residency.
