Dr. Kerui Xu is an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officer in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at CDC headquarters in Atlanta. Kerui has a background training of PhD in epidemiology and MPH in biostatistics. As an EIS officer, Kerui has been deployed to respond and conduct a number of outbreak investigations related to healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and COVID-19 outbreak. His analytic research focuses on HAIs, with a strong interest in Clostridioides difficile infection and working with CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network.
