Minji Kang, M.D. is an Assistant Professor and infectious disease specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Kang earned her medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center and received advanced training in infectious diseases through a fellowship at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in infectious disease, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020. As the Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention, she’s involved in the surveillance and prevention of health care-associated infections such as central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs), catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs), Clostridium difficile (C. diff), and surgical site infections.
