Professor Wang is the President, Infectious Diseases Society of China, Vice-President, Chinese Society of Physicians for Infectious Diseases. The national expert advisory committee member for immunization programs, and Chairman, The Working Committee on Antimicrobial Stewardship, China Hospital Association.
Professor Wang’s research interests include the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, the antiviral treatment of chronic hepatitis B and C, the immunopathogenesis and immunotherapy of chronic hepatitis B, autoimmune liver diseases, and non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis.
Professor Wang is the Editorial Board member for Clinical Infectious Diseases, the Deputy Editor for and , Co-Chief Editor of . He was the leading expert drafting ‘The National Diagnosis Criteria for Hepatitis B’, and is one of key experts drafting ‘The Chinese Guideline for the Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis B’, and other infectious diseases.
