Sadako Yoshizawa, MD, PhD, is an associate professor at the Toho University School of Medicine. After graduating from Toho University, she did an internship at Yokosuka US Military Base Hospital and then engaged in HIV treatment at the National Center for Global Health and Medicine. She conducted research on Legionella pneumophila at the Graduate School of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Toho University School of Medicine, and then conducted medical care and infection control at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Toho University Omori Hospital. After that, she worked as a New Drug Application Jury of antimicrobial agents at the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency, and is currently managing clinical trials and clinical research, and conducting research on microbial and infectious disease science. She is currently conducting research on syphilis, STSS, CDI and COVID-19. In addition, for research on CDI, she has obtained a scientific research fund from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and is proceeding with the research.
