Dr. Yu has over 20 years of clinical infectious disease treatment and prevention experience, including 15 years as chief of infectious diseases and infection control officer at Kaiser Permanente Southern California. During this time, he created the antimicrobial stewardship infrastructure and quality metrics for 15 hospitals. He was also an associate professor of infectious disease at NYU School of Medicine and associate professor of public health at NYU Global College of Public Health. Dr. Yu joined BD in 2018 as the Medical Director. He has published most notably on high-risk antibiotics for HOCDI and benchmarking risk-adjusted antimicrobial use and served as a reviewer for Clinical Infectious Diseases. His work has been highlighted in invited lectures and testimonies at Pew Trusts, NCVHS, and Senate Hill briefings in Washington DC.
