Brenda Tesini is an associate professor of medicine and pediatrics at the University of Rochester. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami and completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Rochester followed by fellowships in Pediatric and Adult Infectious Diseases also at the University of Rochester. Her research interests have included novel treatments for Pneumocystis pneumonia and other respiratory infections. She is currently the associate hospital epidemiologist at the University of Rochester Medical Center and works with the CDC’s Emerging Infections Program with a focus on surveillance and prevention of emerging and multidrug resistant infection.
