Vera Luther, MD is an infectious diseases physician and associate professor of medicine at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. She enjoys all aspects of medical education and is involved in curriculum design, delivery, and assessment for medical students, residents, and fellows. In addition to serving as the infectious diseases fellowship program director at Wake Forest, she also serves as the associate medical director for the Center for Antimicrobial Utilization, Stewardship, and Epidemiology (CAUSE). Her scholarly interests involve antimicrobial stewardship, medical education, and medical decision making. She is involved in IDSA’s Training Program Director, Education, and Med Ed Community of Practice Executive Committees. She currently chairs the IDSA Antimicrobial Stewardship Curriculum Workgroup and the IDSA Med Ed Community of Practice Mentoring Workgroup.
