Destani Bizune joined the Office of Antibiotic Stewardship, within the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, as a Scientific Data Analyst in May 2019. She earned an MPH in Epidemiology from the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and a BA in Women’s Studies from Duke University. Prior to matriculating into Rollins, Destani spent two years in the CDC Public Health Associate Program (PHAP), where she was assigned to the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. She later worked in CDC's Division of STD Prevention, where she helped implement enhanced surveillance programs on antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea and HIV/STD testing in special populations. Her areas of focus include infectious disease epidemiology, outpatient antibiotic stewardship, and external partnerships.
