Resident in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
Tulane University
Sarah Talia Himmelfarb grew up on the coast of Maine where she developed an appreciation for the outdoors, but never a taste for lobster. She studied Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale, where she honed her research skills studying Epstein-Barr Virus with Dr. George Miller. After graduating she pursued her interest in visual art and worked as a pastry chef for several years before attending George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. While there she began working in Yasmine Belkaid’s lab at the NIH studying mucosal immunology. She devoted a year to her research through the NIH Medical Research Scholars Program. She is currently in her final year of training in internal medicine and pediatrics at Tulane.
