Taylor is a public health professional with a focus in global health. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she attended the University of Maryland where she earned a B.S. in Behavioral and Commnity Health and a certification in globalization. She spent time conducting Rheumatic Health Disease research with Children's Natioanl Medical center in Washington, DC with a focus on Ugandan communities. Post-college, Taylor joined the Jewish Service Corps and spent two years serving as a public health fellow at the Agahozo Shalom Youth Village in Rwamagana, Rwanda. After an incredible experience abroad, she moved to Atlanta to earn her Master’s in Public Health in Global Health from Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health. She concentrated on international health and infectious diseases. During her first year in graduate school, she worked for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention as an epidemiology research assistant in the Birth Defects Surveillance Unit, specifically on the CSTRONG survey. She later focused her practicum and thesis research on pediatric leprosy in Brazil. During the early months of the COVID-19 pancemic, she worked with researchers at Emory University to assess symtpoms onset of COVID-19. She is currently working in public health consulting with Guidehouse Inc.
