Paul A. Carpenter, MBBS, is the Clinical Director of the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Program of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Member in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington Medical Center. As part of his leadership role, Dr. Carpenter’s clinical role extends as well to a regional Outreach Clinic 3-4 times per year in Spokane, WA. He holds a unique faculty position at the Center, as in addition to the Pediatric Outpatient BMT Directorship he also has 18 years of Adult LTFU Attending which provides him with a unique depth of clinical experience across the age spectrum which significantly benefits both the adult and pediatric programs via cross-fertilization of clinical practice and management approaches. Dr. Carpenter’s current areas of research interest focus on chronic graft-versus-host disease and late effects of HSCT in adults and children.
