Paul Bollyky, MD, PhD is an Immunologist and Infectious Disease physician at Stanford University. He completed his PhD at Oxford, and attended Harvard for Medical School. He received his medical training at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and his Infectious Diseases training at the University of Washington. Paul has been a faculty member at Stanford since 2013 and is currently an Associate Professor and a practicing Infectious Disease physician.
The Bollyky Lab studies bacteriophages – viruses that infect bacteria. The human body contains more bacteriophages than human cells but their impact on human biology, our microbiome, and antibiotic therapy are largely unknown. The Bollyky lab is working to understand how bacteriophage shape human health and disease.
