Elizabeth P. Schlaudecker, MD, MPH, is a faculty member in the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Global Health Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Schlaudecker received her medical degree and Master's in Public Health from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed a pediatrics residency, chief residency, and infectious diseases fellowship at Cincinnati Children's.
Dr. Schlaudecker was awarded a Fogarty International Clinical Research Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health in 2009, and she investigated the etiology and seasonality of viral respiratory disease in Honduran children less than the age of five. She was awarded the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society Blue Ribbon Research award in 2011 for similar work in Bangladesh. After joining the faculty of Cincinnati Children's in 2011, she continued her influenza vaccine research with a Procter Scholars award and a K12 Child Health Research Career Development Award (CHRCDA) from the National Institutes of Health. She is particularly interested in the epidemiology of respiratory viruses and the prevention of infant infection via maternal immunization.
