Charlotte Woods-Hill, MD MSHP is an Assistant Professor of pediatric critical care medicine at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania, and a Senior Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. Her broad areas of interest are the intersection of healthcare resource utilization, diagnostic stewardship, and implementation science, as it relates to preventable pediatric patient harm and pediatric patient safety. Currently, she serves as the divisional physician lead for harm prevention stemming from central-line associated bloodstream infections and divisional co-director of a dedicated vascular access/infection prevention initiative. She is the primary co-investigator on a four-year multi-site R18 collaborative studying the impact of innovative diagnostic stewardship strategies on antibiotic use in critically ill children, which served as the foundation for her pending K23 career development award. She has received funding from the NIH, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the MITRE Corporation, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Microbiome Center. Dr. Woods-Hill has published her work in leading pediatric and critical care journals, and regularly speaks at national meetings as an emerging expert on diagnostic stewardship in the critical care environment.
