For those that identify as a #CleanWaterNerd, it was definitely like waking up on your birthday this past Tuesday as Dr. Chad Penn and his colleagues from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) - National Soil Erosion Lab at Purdue University brought their cool toys out for the day. The Indiana MS4 Partnership Conference attendees were able to see a live demonstration phosphorus structure for filtering dissolved phosphorus from stormwater setup at the conference center pond. When there are two divisions in the company, it’s easy for the lines to blur between roles especially when everyone is willing to lend a hand to help their teammates out. This month our honorees all shared a single picture to represent the team effort that happens at Siltworm, Inc. and ECS | Erosion Construction Services. Congratulations and Thanks to All of You! Tracy Fayette has seen more than just about anyone in either division; he's had to put up with a lot and worked in plenty of difficult situations. While the company has continually improved year after year, like any company large or small we still have issues that come up and when it has to do with equipment, Tracy is our go-to guy. Lately, Tracy has grown his problem solving and effective communication skills to get these problems addressed efficiently and effectively. Wow, time definitely flies when you are having fun (and are super busy!). We wanted to take a minute before the calendar changed again to recognize our Siltworm, Inc. “Crew of the Month” for March. Whether Ross was too busy for a pic or he just doesn’t love the camera, we get it and wanted to make sure we still publicly provided a shout out. The annual arrival of the busy season was extra packed in March as we had a perfect storm of circumstances that caused an immediate need for a ton of Siltworm fast. Ross didn’t miss a beat as he stepped in, took charge of our second shift, and was a huge part of our record production numbers the last two weeks of the month. Since he got here, Ross has demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and reliability, and we know we can always count on him to deliver.
