Dr. Narayan is Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the Arrhythmia Center at Stanford University, and was trained in medicine in Birmingham England, Harvard/Mount Auburn Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis, and in software engineering and data science in the UK, UCLA and UC Berkeley. Dr. Narayan’s Computational Arrhythmia Research Laboratory applies techniques at the intersection of cardiology, bioengineering and data science and has been funded continuously by NIH since 2001. The lab has pioneered several bioengineering approaches to personalize care including computerized mapping of atrial fibrillation. Dr. Narayan has published over 300 articles, reviews for several societies and agencies and his trainees have won research prizes and grants each year since 2003. He has been recognized “Top Doctor” by Castle Connolly. In 2022 he received the Distinguished Scientist award of the Heart Rhythm Society.
