The topic of this session - deliberately called Advanced Interventional Pain Management – addresses the foundational and leading-edge components of an evolving subspecialty within interventional radiology. The procedural management of straightforward and/or complex pain conditions in interventional radiology has rapidly grown over the past ten years, fueled by innovation, technology, and demand. This series of courses aims to deliver information on the latest available applications so that interventionalists around the world may feel comfortable helping these patients.

Learning Objectives:

Understand the real world application of advanced imaging guidance to the management of pain in light of the current opioid crisis in The United States and across the world
Explore difficult clinical scenarios within pain management that may be addressed using the interventional radiology skillset
Describe new procedures and devices available primarily to the interventional radiologist for managing complex or linear pain symptoms
