Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Cardiac MR

I am a young Cardiologist with interest in Cardiovascular Imaging and Translational Research. As part of the work of my PhD thesis, I explored the role of epicardial adipose tissue in coronary atherosclerosis and cardiac remodelling. In 2017, I started a postdoctoral fellowship in Cardiac CT at Prof. Antoniade's Group, in which I had the extraordinary opportunity of exploring the predictive value of a new CT-derived biomarker of epicardial/perivascular fat quality – fat attenuation index (FAI). In 2019, I joined Prof. Reza’s group for a Postdoctoral fellowship in MRI to investigate the ability of radiomic analysis of cine-MRI images to phenotype the myocardium and detect myocardial fibrosis in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
