Dr. Carlos Velasco is a Research Associate at the School of Biomedical Engineering & Medical Imaging Sciences, at King’s College London. In 2019, he received his PhD at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares, (Madrid, Spain) on a thesis work focused on cardiac PET and pharmacokinetic modelling PET radiotracesr for myocardial tissue characterization. He then joined the group of Prof. Claudia Prieto and Prof, René Botnar’s at King’s College. His work focuses on the development of novel approaches on multiparametric MRI and Magnetic Resonance Fingerpinting.
