Kelly Jarvis, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow from Dr. Michael Markl’s lab in the Department of Radiology, Northwestern University. Dr. Jarvis has expertise in 4D flow MRI, i.e. 3D cine (time-resolved) phase contrast MRI with 3-directional velocity encoding. This functional imaging technique measures velocities in the heart and surrounding vessels, enabling the visualization and quantification of blood flow for the evaluation of complex hemodynamics. Dr. Jarvis completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University in 2017. Her research focuses on 4D flow MRI applications in aortic dissection and cryptogenic stroke.
