Andrea Guala completed a Ph.D. at the Politecnico of Turin, Italy, designing a multi-scale model of the heart-arterial interaction and a subject-specific setting procedure based on non-invasive measurements. Since May 2016 he started working on cardiovascular imaging at VHIR (Barcelona), where his main topics are 4D flow MRI and aortic mechanics in aortic diseases. His research interests cover the field of hemodynamics and large artery mechanics.
