Consultant Cardiologist, Senior Clinical Lecturer

London, England, United Kingdom
Gaby is a consultant cardiologist in inherited heart muscle diseases, and senior clinical lecturer based at the Royal Free Hospital and UCL who has done 9 years research in CMR and developmental cardiac biology.
Her research led to the application of mathematical fractal algorithms to CMR in humans and cardiomorphogenesis in mouse, for the improved quantification of myocardial trabeculae. More recently she was funded by the ESC (EACVI) to lead the T1 Mapping Phantom program (T1MES). The phantom received FDA and CE-mark clearance and is now a commercially available product, widely used by the CMR community. She won the AHA Young Investigator Prize in Dallas in 2013 for her fractal work in HCM (Melvin Judkins Award) and was young-investigator finalist at 7 international meetings over the course of her PhD, including SCMR, BSCMR and BCS. She won the SCMR travel grant and the SCMR Seed Grant Award for budding investigators to advance the field of T1 mapping.
Currently she is building the first washable ECGi vest for CMR/ECGi data integration, and a quality control block chain to support multi-center T1 mapping research collaborations.
