Elliott K. Gozansky, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology in the Department of Radiology at New York University Langone Health. He graduated from Emory University prior to pursuing a PhD in Physical Chemistry at Purdue University where research focused on structural biology by NMR. During his post-doctoral training at the NIH, he was introduced to cardiac MRI and became interested in clinical research. After becoming research faculty in the Radiology department at University of Texas Medical Branch, he decided to make a career change and matriculated at University of Michigan Medical School where he received his MD. Radiology residency and Cardiothoracic fellowship were completed at University of Maryland. After six years at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he received consecutive teaching awards and served as the fellowship director, he joined the faculty at NYU.
Dr. Gozansky’s research interests include the application of artificial intelligence in thoracic imaging, caffeine metabolism in stress cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT application within the recommendations of the ISCHEMIA trial. He continues to enjoy lecturing nationally and internationally.
