Dr. Karolina Zareba is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at The Ohio State University and the Program Director of the Cardiovascular Diagnostics Training Program. She completed her internal medicine training at Northwestern University and went on to her cardiology training at the University of Pittsburgh, including her cardiac MRI fellowship. She then joined OSU where she has dedicated her clinical and research efforts to advancing diagnostic and prognostic capabilities of cardiac MRI. Her research focuses on non-ischemic myocardial disease and particularly CMR based tissue characterization. Dr. Zareba is funded through the NIH to study the role of CMR in patients genetically-at-risk for DCM. She is an active member of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, having previously served on the Program Committee and currently on the Science Committee.
