Jennifer H. Jordan, Ph.D., M.S., is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering and the Pauley Heart Center at Virginia Commonwealth University and is the Director of the Cardiovascular MRI Core Lab. Dr. Jordan is an NIH supported investigator and serves as the Imaging Director on 2 multicenter NIH-funded cardio-oncology imaging studies involving multicenter CMR imaging from 3500+ examinations collected at 35+ sites. In addition to numerous internally-funded projects, she serves as the principal investigator for an ILSI HESI THRIVE Foundation study to investigate the effects of cardiotoxic chemotherapy treatments on myocardial fibrosis and perfusion defects in cancer survivors. Dr. Jordan’s research focuses on combining functional and structural imaging techniques to provide insight into etiology of cardiovascular disease with applications in the areas of cardio-oncology, cardiac sarcoidosis, amyloidosis, and heart failure. She has extensive experience in bidirectional translational imaging work moving from small animal 7T CMR imaging to clinical studies and population-based research at 1.5T and 3T across a range of vendors in single and multi-center studies. Dr. Jordan is an author of peer-reviewed articles published in Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Cardiovascular Imaging, and Circulation: Heart Failure.
