Dr. Jiwon Kim is an Associate Professor in the Cardiovascular Division of the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, respectively. Her clinical and research interests are focused on the clinical applications of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging and advanced echocardiographic techniques for patients valavular heart disease and cardiomyopathies. Dr. Kim's research on cardiac MRI techniques for right ventricular imaging is funded by an NIH K23 and she is also the recipient of an R01 award to examine tissue-based predictors of cardiopulmonary symptoms in COVID-19 survivors.
