Ricardo A. Gonzales is a Postgraduate Research Associate in Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale University under the guidance of Dr. Dana C. Peters. He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at Universidad de IngenierĂa y TecnologĂa (Peru). His research is focused on the development of tools for the assessment of diastolic function in MRI, and its relationship to atrial remodeling. Part of his work has been presented in SCMR 2018-2019 and ISMRM 2018. Lately, he has been working on quantifying and characterizing the amount of left atrial fibrosis, estimating the isovolumic relaxation time in MRI cines and developing a robust automatic segmentation method for measuring atrial strain. Apart from his interest in CMR, Ricardo has also worked on the biosensor field in the laboratories of Dr. Mark A. Reed at Yale University and Dr. Jie Chen at University of Alberta (Canada).
