Camilla Torlasco, Md, PhD. Cardiologist. Coordinator of the Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Service at IRCCS Istituto Auxologico Italiano (Milan, IT).
Dr Torlasco graduated in 2010 from the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele. She then completed the Cardiology Residency program at University of Milano-Bicocca (2016) and an Hon. Clinical Research Fellowship at Barts Heart Centre (2015-2017) under Prof James Moon supervision.
Since 2017, she has worked as a Consultant Cardiologist at IRCCS Istituto Auxologico Italiano, and in 2021 she became the Coordinator of the Auxologico Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Service (> 700 scans/year), where she is also responsible for the teaching and mentoring of cardiology residents attending the CMR service.
In 2019, Dr Torlasco was appointed Hon. Senior Lecturer at UCL to Professor James Moon. In 2021, she obtained her PhD degree in Public Health (University of Milano-Bicocca) under Professor Gianfranco Parati supervision, in a special program for doctors already employed in a consultancy capacity. Dr Torlasco has authored more than 50 scientific papers and 3 book chapters in the field of cardiology, with a special focus on CMR applications, use of new technologies to improve care, and high altitude medicine.
