Amanda Potersnak RT (R) (MR), Interventional Cardiac MRI Technologist for the LABORATORY OF CARDIOVASCULAR INTERVENTION, NHLBI (National Heart Lung and Blood Institute), National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, USA. Amanda Potersnak has dedicated her career to improving the diagnosis
and care of patients with congenital heart disease through the use of iCMR. Ms. Potersnak is fascinated with imaging of the heart and has 23 years experience in the feild of MRI and CMR. She has played a critical role in the development and continued advancement of the feild of iCMR as the previous chief CMR technologist for Dallas Children's Medical Center. While in Dallas, Ms. Potersnak succeeded in building the iCMR program from the beginning stages to one of the top iCMR centers in the world, excelling in Fontan and Pre Fontan surgical planning and lymphangiography procedures. She is currently the iCMR Technolgist for the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Intervention at NIH and has devoted her career to educating other technologists and physicians about the benefits and uses of radiation-free cardiac catheterization with MRI guidance.
