Bruno Quesson holds a PhD in instrumental Physics (1998) in the field of MRI/MRS. He is Director of Research at National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS, France). Since 2012, His team works at IHU LIRYC (Bordeaux, France) to develop MRI methods in cardiology for diagnosis and therapy, with a particular focus on MRI guided Elepctrophysiology. This topic includes real-time imaging methods to map temperature distribution in the myocardium during catheter-based radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of cardiac electrical disorders. Rapid MRI acquisition methods are associated with real-time image processing and display, providing online monitoring of lesion formation during the procedure. Other topics include image guided non invasive cardiac pacing methods using focused ultrasound and high resolution MRI of the myocardial substrate.
