Ben Statton, MRSO, MR Superintendent Radiographer, London Institute of Medical Sciences, Imperial College London.
Ben is an MRI research radiographer with over 20 years of MRI experience on 1.5T and 3T systems. He is currently the faciltiy manager of the Mansfield Centre for Innovation, specialising in advanced cardiac applications such as 4D flow, exercise CMR and 31p spectroscopy.
Ben undertook his undergraduate radiography degree at the University of South Australia, and subsequently completed a Diploma in Medical Magnetic Resonance and a Masters in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences in the UK. He has experienced many facets of medical imaging, including roles in industry as an applications specialist, in a clinical setting of large London teaching hospital as a PACS administrator and superintendent, as well as academia in his current role.
Ben is always looking to advance the education of MRI radiographers and regularly lectures on post graduate university programs in the UK as well as
contributing to conferences both nationally and internationally.
