Cardiac Clinical Specialist, MRI Cardiac Lead and CMR reporting Radiographer

Kevin has been a cardiac MRI radiographer for 14 years, the last 5 of which have been as cardiac MR lead at Nottingham University Hospitals. He is also a MRI Cardiac Clinical specialist and cardiac MRI reporting radiographer.
Within these roles, he has championed advanced practice for allied health professionals and sought to aid those that wish to advance and enhance their clinical practice by pushing the boundaries of achievable practice. Both locally and nationally , he has reviewed and revised the ways CMR is taught and understood, by developing new training schedules, documentation and standards for radiographers and clinicians alike.
He has presented at multiple international radiology and cardiology conferences including those organised by: BSCMR, BAMRR, ISMRT, EFRS, UKOI and for Philips Medical international. He has also established a cardiology and radiology registrars level 1 CMR course in Nottingham along with cardiology colleagues and is developing a radiographers training course due to run in 2023 for the first time.
He has been involved with the British society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (BSCMR) radiographer Working group for more than 2 years and has helped to develop and present interactive webinars, learning resources and live presentations within the group. He is currently the lead of the radiographer’s educational sub-committee.
He is actively involved in a number of ongoing national and international research projects in conjunction with Nottingham University and Philips.
Away from radiography, he is studying for a Master’s degree in cardiology whilst also being a published author and a commissioned portrait and landscape artist.
