Resident
Ascension RMC and Northwestern University
Liliana Ma is a transitional year resident at Ascension Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, and an incoming Diagnostic Radiology Resident at Stanford University. She completed her PhD in Biomedical Engineering on an NIH F30 grant at Northwestern University and her MD on a full scholarship as part of the Medical Scientist Training Program. Her research focuses on the development of highly-accelerated, robust, multi-dimensional flow imaging techniques and their application to complex clinical situations. During her PhD under Michael Markl, she worked extensively with industry collaborators on compressed sensing 4D flow imaging, and in collaboration with Matthias Stuber’s group in Lausanne, she developed a new multi-dimensional, 5D flow imaging technique. She was previously chair of the Early Career Committee of the Society for Magnetic Resonance Angiography, is a Junior Fellow of the ISMRM, a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and has given lectures as faculty at the ISMRM and RSNA.
