Dr. Robin Nijveldt started his research career in the Amsterdam University Medical Centers (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) which resulted in several publications on CMR in no-reflow after acute myocardial infarction, and the efficacy of cell therapy in these patients. After finishing his cardiology training he worked as a post-doctoral research associate in the Duke Cardiovascular MR Center (Durham, North Carolina), after which he returned to the Amsterdam University Medical Centers. From 2017 he works as faculty at Radboudumc in Nijmegen and became professor of Cardiovascular Imaging. He is currently the EACVI vice-president, chair of the EACVI CMR section and co-chair of the EACVI CMR exam board committee.
