Dr. Andrada-Camelia Guta is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center, Houston, Texas. She graduated medical school in Romania and completed her cardiology training at “Prof. Dr. C.C. Iliescu” Institute for Emergency Cardiovascular Diseases in Bucharest, Romania. She spent one year at University of Padua, Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Sciences, Padua, Italy, where she studied three-dimensional echocardiography for the assessment of the tricuspid valve. In 2021, she obtained a PhD degree in three-dimensional echocardiography with the thesis "Atrio-ventricular valve insufficiency: a comparative analysis of pathophysiological mechanisms of tricuspid functional regurgitation ". Her current research projects include valvular disease and right heart remodeling using cardiac magnetic resonance.
