Required Supplies: Assorted scraps 2 1/2" square or larger. Enough to equal approximately 1/2 yard. (Or, two quarter yard cuts of contrasting colors). Optional Supplies: none
Bring a big bag of scraps and learn the basics of machine foundation paper piecing using small triangles! This method of piecing uses a sewing machine to sew through paper for incredibly precise results. Daisy carefully covers each step so that your triangle points are sharp and perfectly aligned with their neighbors. Each workshop participant will choose between creating large diamonds for a lone star or making wedges for a sunflower shape. Scraps not required, but it's a great use of all those odd pieces that don't fit anywhere else! Sewing machines provided!
