I love repeating patterns so this quilt is inspired by log cabin blocks and the Fibonacci sequence, a repeating number pattern that forms the golden ratio or golden spiral. This is my first quilt with a black background. I love that the black makes the colors in the quilt seem very bright in comparison. This is my first original pattern and my first show quilt, along with the first time I've used black in a quilt. This is a quilt of firsts for me.
