Maritime Modern Quilt Guild Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
This piece was originally conceived as a gestural interpretation of the relentless wind and unique red earth of Prince Edward Island, located on the east coast of Canada. It sat as an unrealized sketch for quite a few months. After the Island's landscapes were ravaged by Hurricane Fiona, it seemed necessary to make it as a contemplation -- of nature's interdependent elements and the effects of climate change.
